“Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.”

Hebrews 11:1

The chapter that follows is a catalogue of people who acted on that confidence before they saw the outcome.

“For we live by faith, not by sight.”

2 Corinthians 5:7

Paul writes this while describing bodies that wear out — faith as the way you keep walking when the evidence is thin.
